FUN IN NEW YORK CITY’S CHINATOWN

I love New York City. There are so many neighborhoods that one can go to on weekends. One of my favorite neighborhoods is Chinatown. I know that in Chinatown I can have a great meal and it won’t break the bank. The entire cost of a meal for my husband and I is usually around $14 total, and that is including tip. There are also so many little bakeries that have desserts for as little as 60¢. What is great about Chinatown is all the fresh seafood. At the end of your trip, you can always buy affordable fresh seafood.

The crow hits the spot

There was a friend of mine in school who because of his very dark complexion was called crow. We used to make cawing sounds when he came and teased him endlessly. It so happened that a girl in our bore a crush towards him. She told to a friend of mine. She told it to me and I spread the word. Soon we were all calling her lady crow. One day we were all sitting in lawn in our campus talking. The girl now called the lady crow was there also. She was sitting under a tree and a crow shit on her dress. We were already laughing when a friend of mine commented “be careful this means Mr. Crow wants to shit on you”. We were all rolling on the floor laughing.

An unforgettable week

Last week I went and stayed with my mother’s sister who had just bought a new laptop and didn’t know how to use it properly. As I was free that week my mum told me to go and stay with her sister. The stay would have nothing remarkable if my aunt didn’t have three small kids. Playing with them for hours on end, teaching them the alphabet, watching TV with them was fun. The time passed all too soon and the week was over. Though I hadn’t taught my aunt anything much about the laptop I had a great week. It was with a heavy heart that I left for home.

Small Chihuahuas

Small Chihuahuas are an adorable breed for a household pet! They can have either long or short hair. They do, however, have special needs. They are heat loving dogs and need to be provided with a heating lamp or blanket wrapped in a heating pad (this is particularly true if your dog is a shorthair). This is because they have a large surface to body ratio and loose heat easily. They may also need other items such as wooden dog steps to reach places that their small bodies cannot propel them to or clothing for outdoor excursions. These are a long-lived breed so during their years with us we should also offer our special friend: nutritious food, lots of exercise and of course lots of love.

A little accident

The most expensive thing I have ever bought would be the headlights of the Yamaha R1 bike my friend drives. I had borrowed the bike from him for an hour to go to a store some 10kms across. Coming back from the store I came into heavy traffic. As my friend had said he wanted it back with the hour itself I was in a sort of rush. I drove through narrow gapes and by lanes and somehow got till 2kms from the place my friend was waiting. But it was then that a car for some reasons braked suddenly. As I was driving well over 70, i swerved the bike as quick as I could one of the headlights hit the side of the car. It smashed to smithereens and I accelerated to get away as fast as I could. The headlights cost me almost 1000rs (in terms of dollars 100$).

Honda civic hybrid: the car with the class

The Honda civic with its 132ps @ 6300rpm is my favorite. Though a BMW would give me more power than a civic, I still prefer it because it was the first car which impressed me so much that I felt like buying it at all cost. Its plush interiors and classy looks make it an irresistible car on the road. Honda’s devotion to safety has turned this classy looking car into a driver safe car as well. ABS and EBD ensure that the car stays in control all the time. Priced at around 10 to 11 lakhs it is one of the most affordable yet stylish cars in this decade.

Memories of a good time

My all time favorite class was my 11th year at school. I had been transferred to a new school in that year because I chose to pursue humanities subject. The years before where full of endless studies, revisions mugging up, so much so that I didn’t have a moment to enjoy. But now the subject load had turned to 5 from 10 and almost all of my classmates were boisterous lots like me. There was almost nothing that we didn’t do. From bunking classes to go the movies to bunking exams we attained new spheres of trouble making. Even though we were caught once, we never stooped doing all of that cause the fact that a punishment was hanging over our heads made the escapade more thrilling. It was without doubt the class where I enjoyed the most.

Lion: the champion of the wild

My favorite animal would be the king of the forest; the lion. Studying about why it is one of the top predators on our earth stirred in me a sort of awe and respect. But it was when I went to the zoo in our town to see a real life lion that this feeling changed. Seeing a lion walk around in all its majesty is enough to impress anyone but the lion slowly walked nearer to the side where the people where busy photographing it and let out a thunderous roar that scared most of them. Needless to say that roar impressed me all the more.

Facebook: the society king

My all time favorite website is Facebook, one of the most popular social networking sites in the world. I heard about this when I was in doing my 12th or final year in school. Though initially I didn’t find anything incredible about the website, slowly as i learned its many features started I started linking it. The fact that I could play games like mafia wars and castle age with all of my friends helping me and me helping them back and chat and sent messages at the same time really impressed me. Its wide variety of applications is enough to tame even the most aggressive critic making this my all time favorite website.
